News and Announcements
* The Spring Season has officially begun. Practices for Novice and Varsity are in full swing. All new interested athletes can attend practice on Saturday, January 10th from 7 AM - 10 AM at Notre Dame High School, Belmont. Please download the team forms before attending. We are still looking for new men and women rowers to round out our Novice teams !
* New Race schedule has been updated for the spring.
* Fall season starts September 27th at the WELCOME BBQ, 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM at the boathouse.
* The Cappel family is taking part in the Two-Day Colon Cancer March in Washington, DC on October 18th and 19th. They are marching in honor of Dylan Lawrence Cappel who died at age 23 of colon cancer. They are also marching to bring awareness of colon cancer in young people. Please check the Cappel Family website to see how you can help and follow their progress on the walk. Over 30 people from the Bay Area are making the trip out with the Cappels to show their support !
* Congratulations to Hilary Waldo from being recognized for her achievements both in the classroom and on the water. Hilary was honored as one of the USRowing Scholastic HonorRoll Recipients. Great job Hilary ! Your team and family are proud of you !
* PIRC racing information is now posted.
* PACJC will be rowing at the Save The Music Campaign at Redwood Shores on Sunday, September 28th. Times TBD. We need some folks to fill boats. Novice or summer rowers preferred. Varsity needed to help be counselors.

August 18th

* All new and returning rowers must complete the necessary forms before rowing. Please download the forms and turn into your coach at practice or at the WELCOME BBQ.
July 29th
Summer Rowing Camp pictures have finally been uploaded to the website.
Session V for Rowing Camps has been added in September. Dates are September 12th- 14th.
Seniors should be registered with the NCAA clearinghouse. Please check www.ncaa.org for more details.
The search is on for young men to help start our first men's program. We already have an great racing 8+ for the new Novice Men coming at the end of August, now we just need the men to fill it !
July 9th
PACJC won 1st Prize in the RWC 4th of July Parade. The float was 1st in the Amateur Category for San Mateo County. PACJC would like to thank the following groups for their float contributions: CSUS Aquatic Center, California Rowing Association, USRowing, ConceptII, Stanford University Crew, Kyra Pelton for letting Joe strap her favorite teddy bear to the single on top of his truck and all the parents and athletes that helped put that 40-foot float together and ride it down Main Street, RWC !! Pictures are coming in from all over, but here are are few from Ron Cohn to get us started. Enjoy !
Summer Rowing is heating up ! We are almost done with 3 weeks of summer camp and already athletes are asking for more. A chart with summer rowing dates and times has been put together for your enjoyment. :)
June 18th
The float committee has been working hard on the 4th of July float. So far the boat outline has been cut out and sanded and one coat of paint was put on. Decorations will be in next week so we can start adding the sparkely stuff. Help is still needed down at Joe's warehouse. Also 14 bodies are needed to ride the float.

BBQ at Coach Monica's. Starts at 5:30 PM. Bring your yearbooks, pictures and a dessert or salad. Rowers and parents are invited.

May 20th
The banquet was a great success. Many thanks to Kan Dee, Janet, Paula, Mark and all the other parents that helped pull off the evening. For a synopsis of the evening as well as information on ordering a copy of the season video, check out Banquet 2003.
May 14th
Our end of the year banquet is set for Sunday, May 18th at Twin Pines in Belmont, just behind the Belmont police station. Time is 5 PM - 9 PM. Please contact Kan Dee Rud if you need to purchase tickets ! We will celebrate our athletes, parents, coaches and especially our graduating seniors.
May 10th and 11th
Congrats to all the women's team for a great showing in Sacramento. There were some tough races on the women side with almost all the races going to three heats. You can see results of the weekend on the race schedule or from row2k.
Thank you to all the hard working parents that did such a great job under the tent with the food. Special thanks to Karen Fant and Larry Niemeyer for all their coordination efforts. The chicken and tri-tip was wonderful !
April 26th
Our final League Race is Saturday, April 26th at Lake Natoma, Sacramento. Our next and final race with be Southwest Junior Regionals on May 9th-11th.
Banquet reservation forms have been mailed. The Crew Banquet will be held on May 18th at the Twin Pines Center in Belmont from 4 PM - 10 PM. Pictures for the slide show are still needed.
Summer Camp reservation forms are slowly coming in. Rowers and coxswains are still needed to help over the summer. Check the summer camp link for dates and times !
2 Weeks To Go !
March 9th
The race schedule has been updated with race locations and results ! The next PACJC race will be on March 22nd at Lexington Reservoir in Los Gatos. Thanks to all the parents that helped with carpooling for both Novice Regatta and the race at Lake Merced on 3/8/2003 !
February 15th
The results from PIRC's 2003 are now posted with Team Times as well as the coxswain and youth row results. Please email any corrections. Medals for coxswains will be mailed out. Thanks !
February 14th
The Erg-a-thon was a great success.
With our 30 members, the
team rowed 369,995 meters OR 231.25 miles. This distance is the distance from
Redwood City (home base) to just passed Santa Barbara, CA. The distance to Santa
Barbara is 254 miles (409 km) as the crow flies or 221 nautical miles as the
boat rows !
We blew right through Reno (200 miles) and right passed Lake Shasta (211
miles) and found ourselves at Santa Barbara. Next year we aim for the sunny
beaches of Cancun !

All athletes and parents, please download all junior forms (especially the USRA Release of Liability) and turn the forms into your coaches by January 18th.
Novice 1/2 dues are due into your coach by January 31st. Varsity 2nd half of dues are due in by February 15th, 2003.
Peninsula Indoor Rowing Championships will be held on February 2nd at Burlingame High School. PIRC entry packets are available.
